As opposed to other breeds, the domestic short hair cat has few problems. Just the usual worming and vaccination needs, and tooth care.

If you take good care of your DSH and it has a naturally strong constitution (like most DSH), and been immunized from rabies, distemper (and others), and you keep it indoors, give it high quality food (wet and dry), plenty of fresh water, have it dewormed periodically, protect it from fleas and let it out only under your supervision (on a leash or in an outdoor enclosure).... virtually none save natural debilitations from OLD AGE. :)

Domestic Short Hairs are my favorite breed of cats :)

well with any cat especially older ones the main diseases they can attract is leukemia and feline aids also worms caused by eating flea eggs or ear mites in some cases,worms are easy to catch if your cat goes outdoors so hope this helps answer your question!!

Not much different. Maybe tape worms, but I think that applies to all cats.
