Idolatry - Not by themselves, they're not.

An idol is an image or other material object representing a deity to which religious worship is addressed.

Satanic - well, it depends on how you view Satan. Some people might see certain avatars as being Satanic, while others don't.

Satanic means something is characteristic of or befitting Satan; extremely wicked; devil-like; diabolical.

It would be if you were a muslim who thought pictures were haraam...
else theres no point making a big deal out of a word that has hindu origins just because...
you would have a problem if you were worshipping it ...and that does not need to be mentioned in any book of religion to be understood!
