What church would you choose? How would you choose it?

I would choose the LDS faith (of which I am a member). God restored his Gospel in its fullness through Joseph Smith and subsequent prophets, and he continues to speak through them today. The organization of the church is after the manner in which Christ organized his church. The priesthood is tranfered by authority, and it is based on worthiness not education. Baptism is done by immersion as it was done in Christ's day. There are many other such things that have been done away with by many other churches of the day but have lucily een restored to this earth again. Most of the beliefs are not unique to my faith, but the completeness is unique. All religions have their good, and the LDS faith can add to that good, because of the restoration of the gospel as prophesied in scripture.

The Bible gives us the measuring stick which we should use to determine which church is most correct in Jesus' words at John 13:35. To me this means that the most correct church would have to abstain from any sort of warfare because of the command to make disciples of people of all the nations. This also would eliminate prejudice, nationalism, etc. They would also have to keep checking to be sure they were teaching the truth because Paul and Timothy wrote at Colossians 1:9-12 that Christ's followers could increase in accurate knowledge. In my opinion these people would also have to be immitating Christ in his ministry and behavior towards others as much as humanly possible in the sinful condition we are in. I believe the most correct chuch to be the Jehovah's Witnesses. They do not get paid, yet they continue to serve one another with love. They refuse to take sides even in political discussions, let alone abstaining from any sort of warfare. They go over and over and over the Bible and adjust their teachings to reflect the increasing light shed on God's word by their studying. If I did not believe this was the true church, I would never have joined it.

I know exactly which one I would choose but I will not put it in writing to have it attacked. It is a church that is alive in Christ and teaches God's word day in a day out. Also I don't want to sound prideful....if it is correct, God knows it anyway. And I do pray that He keep us on the right path in all our ways, following Him.

Since a "church" is a Christian place of worship, no church is remotely correct. If by church you mean fellowships for spiritual practice in general, the most correct will depend on the nature of the person and what path they are best suited to. In general, Yoga (in the largest sense) is the highest path.

Baptist, They are one of the closest to the Word of God then that I have been to. But there is not all that much difference in some of the other denominations. As long as it teaches the "Death, Burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ", no matter if it's Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, or what ever. It's like a train, if it's on the right track, it will end up at the right place.-----
Oh, I forgot, some of you don't want to get close to Gods Word.

The Church IN Christ.

This is the only church you can be a part of and be saved. Salvation is for all those who are IN Christ.

It has to be a Holy ghost bible teaching church with Jesus at the head! If they don't teach the bible you just have a cult.

There is none, but a strong belief in Jehovah would draw you towards individuals who are trying very hard to fulfill and follow his will.
