why do grown ups think i am beautiful.?

why do grown ups tell me i am beautiful but i am 17 and i havent had a date. and grown ups say that i am so muture, but my friends say i am not. i think that i am ok looking.... whatever, and i do act a little goofyer around my friends...... we is it just when i find that special someone, i'll find that special someone.... and how old were you when you found someone you liked?

You'll find yourself getting more dates when you graduate HS, trust me. Adults always told me the same thing, but I was always single and no one was really even looking at me "That way".

High School guys consider hot to be big boobs and a nice tan etc., but as you get older their opinions change.

Thier are also two categories. Girls that are do-able and girls that are date-able/take home to mom. You are probably the latter.

I'm still looking for that special someone but I don't have lack of guys knocking at my door either.

22, and he became my husband. When your that young, things are different. Dont be in to much of a rush. I felt the exact same way you did though when I was 17. I found when I finally stopped looking. My prince charming found me. And the other guys before him, were guys I just picked to have a boyfriend. And now that I look back , they were such a waste of my time. Hope this helps.

Depends on who is telling you this - sounds to me that whomever may be saying this, is just trying to take advantage of someone they think is naive (and I don't think you are naive). Just be on the alert as there may be ulterior motives. All the best!!
