My friends and I are singing at our high schools graduation and we are in desperate need of a powerful song. Our trio is comprised of a soprano, alto and tenor. Last year at graduation, our friends performed "A New World" from Songs for a New World. The song was amazing and we need another powerful song to sing this year at graduation. If anyone has any ideas that would be fantastic! If you know of a song, preferably a musical theater song, the voicing doesn't matter, my friends and I are quite able to arrange it into a trio and I would gladly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

The song "Graduation Day." Originally by The Four Freshman, but you should listen to the Beach Boys' version. It's one of their stunning A'cappella songs. Also, check out "Their Hearts were full of Spring"

I sang Boyz II Men "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" a couple of years ago at a graduation as a solo. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.

I found a list of top 10 graduation songs for 06 and 07. So you really have a top 20!

Good luck!

Why not do "Seasons of Love" from RENT? It's a great song, can be done with your voicings and would be powerful for graduation!
