How do you be militant? I mean, if you blow up churches and kill Christians with a sniper rifle, aren't you doing more harm than good? I'm sure you know how much religious people love being a martyr. So a Militant Atheist would be someone who doesn't just refuse to acknowledge religion, but someone who takes the battle to religion but using words as ammunition. They conduct trench warfare with reason, launch smash and burn raids behind enemy lines with logic weapons and fire barrages of collective knowledge artillery.

Religious Extremists engages in the battle with other religions. I dont think there is a single documented case involving a militant atheist that died for (umm...nothing?) ... to rid the world of religion .
I personally believe that atheists are content with the internet "terrorism" & yea I second your logic. Again , i think that's how the wars should be won...with reason & logic.

No, I would not describe myself as a militant atheist. I would describe myself as an atheist.

I love this country, and should a time come when my country would force me to believe in some god or other, I will fight that with all my resources available. I will influence the politicians, and as a last resort, I will move out of this country.

I don't think that they mean it in that extreme manner of blowing up things. I use to refer to myself as a Militant Social Worker, but I am a non-violent person. It just means able and willing to fight for the cause, in a lawful manner and with words mostly. So the last part of your statement would be correct.

I'm no atheist, but there are militant atheists. Many of them are non-violent, but degrade those of religious or spiritual beliefs by shoving Darwinism and evolution in their face (much like radical Christians slam the Bible at theirs). I don't think its right either which way, people should respect each others beliefs.

most atheists are smart enoughto know blowing things up like churches will not only get them in jail but also wouldnt help prove their point...but if there is an atheist out there who does this he is a fanatic and lets his emotions guide his actions rather than his brain.he also probably has an IQ of 0 or below

And how many of us have blown up churches? I may not care for religion, but destroying a building is not going to accomplish anything.

"Militant atheist" is an ad hominem. It's just "namecalling". I'm not militant. I'm just opinionated.
