Stress is a killer and lately I have been under heaps too. So I locked up the unit, got on a plane and just went away for three days. Couldn't afford any of it but boy did it help. Now I just take each day as it comes, only do what I am comfortable with, and if anyone asks me to do something I don't feel like doing I have learnt how to say that magic word NO. Give yourself a break, it is your life and you need to own it. Good luck

Do something simple but nice for somebody else.
Ask yourself, will this matter to me in an hour? Next week? 6 months from now? The questions go on, but I am a little down right now too....you should check out my "best answer" for 'how when to know a joke from serious' or whatever it was - it will give you a great method for analyzing your thoughts/feelings and understanding how much these should interefere with your life. Take care - *hugs*....

any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer.
Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation

I can only tell you what worked for me. My father came during a time of crisis, laid his hand on my shoulder and told me "son, the sun is going to rise tomorrow and it will be another day. Life will go on and you are going to survive." That was 8 years ago and I've slept like a baby ever since. Since then I've discovered that people survive everything. You won't die, it will just be hard.

Im a nerd, lol. I focus on video games or play basketball.
Sometimes I will jam and practice my drums, bass, keys, violin, or acoustic guitar.
Maybe you should go hit a pillow. Try talking to someone.
Go for a long walk.
If all else fails, I sometimes meditate in my room too.

I took up running, its a great activity for the mind and body.
Plus, you usually don't have enough energy to break something when you are finished--also the body releases serotonin--the "feel good" neurotransmitter.
I get my greatest ideas when I'm running, and I always feel like accomplished something that day.

try to pinpoint where the stress is coming from and make a change....i feel stressed when i don't feel like i have any control...so try to get down to the bottom of it all...if the circustances are beyond your control change how you deal or cope with stress. find soomething that works for you to wind yourself down and grond yourself throughout the day.

Just do what you like to do most for few minutes in a day. You can also try YOGA/MEDITATION for 10-15mins a day, it really works.
