As an Army Guard Recruiter, I'd say man up and go Marines if those are your only too choices. They are closely related (the NAvy gives Marines a ride when they have to go fight). But very different in most respects.

Have you checked out the other branches? If combat is not your thing, then join the Navy or Air Force.

There are two branches of military in my opinion, Army & Marines. The rest are our support.

Marine Corps work land and sea; they use the sea for insertion onto a land terrain.

Navy works in the sea, however they have some aircraft carriers that have Air Force planes, and some SEAL teams and Marine Corps deploy from Navy ships.

Basically? The Marine's Kick ***, and the Navy is a Taxi service. As the wives say: "If you're a Marine Wife raise your glass... if not, raise your standards."

the marines are the 1st to fight. after bootcamp u feel like u acually acomplished something, i went to a-school w/ some squids "navy" and they all wished they woulda joined the corps, its tought but if u stick it through the rewards will be worth the pain. once a marine always a marine.
