Human procreation, we are already at war over resources we are already dieing from famine and the problem will only get worse with a growing population. How can we save millions of starving people when we cant even afford cheep fuel (sigh)? Then eventually atomic bombs or even a mega volcanic eruption like the Permian extinction, but I highly doubt global warming since its happened many times before and didn't cause a major extinction.

id say the atom bombs is right now the biggest danger
here is my collection of ends of the humanity
dont worry the planet will survive ,but it is unlikely that we will
many predictions are for the years between 2012 and 2020
Nostradamus, the mayas ,Egyptions Jesus ,and Terrance Mckennas time wave who put the magnetic out put of the world in to a computor projection that stopped at zero in 2012,this stops the globe and it starts turning into
the other direction ,the resulting change of currents will turn the planet into a giant washing machine cleaning the surface
then there are the meteor showers you mentioned ,the gulf of Mexico is the result of one that would have made life exstinct for a while ,this would result in an other ice age if the globe is covered in dust
then there are natural disasters
Volcanos are coming to life everywhere
the weather has giant storms like hurricanes ,tornados ,tidal waves ,earth quackes
a shift of the earth crust ,like a changing of the poles
under Anrarctica were found fosilized tropical plants indication the pole must have been in a different place then (the mainland atlantis is thought to be under it )
Now we got Global warming to contend with (see my answer on global warming)
and the biggest threat to any species of exstinction is ,when there are too little ,and when there are too many ,so overpopulation is also a threat
and the USA appears to be gunning for a global nuclear conflict .it is most likely that this will get us first looking at present politics
but the planet will probably survive unless humanities bombs result it to be knocked out of its orbit
so many ends to choose from
if it wasnt so serious it would be rediculous
meanwhile enjoy life .and make the most of it at least we are all in the same boat

If you are asking which would be the fastest, then many atomic bombs going off at once or a really big volcanic eruption. Earthquakes can be devastating, but their effects tend to be localized, so I don't know why you'd list it with volcanoes.
If you are asking which is most likely to happen in the near future, then I'd go with earth warming. Atomic bombs and massive volcanic eruptions are not likely to happen at the same level. Human overpopulation is not going to be as big a problem as people once thought because developed countries are having so few kids that it sort of evens the playing field.

we have nukes now, atom bombs won't be used anymore
humans make war, yet we abort 4 million+ babies each year
global warming will slowly destroy living organisms but not before humans do it first
volcanoes and earthquakes are happening all the time
my answer would have to be that humans will destroy humans. We've been doing it since Cain killed Abel.

Atom bombs...by far They were designated and deployed to target humanity. I know that vapid Global Warming nuts will say that it's climate change but even the Polar Bears survived past climatic warming cycles mankind will survive and even thrive when NATURE dictates that it's gonna get warmer like it's done so in the past....

You forgot to characteristic Paris Hilton and American Idol as options. There are sufficient atom bombs to smash all of our lives, yet I doubt they are going to be used. Human procreation is likely to electrify those human beings contained in the fastest turning out to be international locations first, that could impact the commonly used of existence of many billions of people, yet regrettably for them their commonly used of existence is already truly low rather (judging by technique of sanitation, ailment and toughness- i'm no longer judging their existence). global warming is a reliable candidate, and global cooling could actually have a rather huge impression on a large piece of the inhabitants. Earthquakes are rather not likely because they are localized activities, yet a large sufficient supervolcano could set off global climate replace, it truly is an same as global warming/cooling- so i visit flow with global climate replace. There are huge inhabitants centers in southeast Asia which will be uninhabitable in 100 years or so, to boot as low mendacity coastal aspects on just about another continent.

the nuclear bomb, since humans would be pointing them at humans, where the other factors aren't necessarily pointing at humans, but are natural occurrences of the earth. and remember, if a nuclear war broke out, it would be just one or two bombs, but hundreds. The force behind that many bombs would be seriously more powerful than any of the other factors you've mentioned.

Human procreation. All environmental problems are caused by excessive human activity and careless use of natural resources.
It is human convenience and greed that lead to environmental destruction. Practically, over population means over consumption of everything the earth and nature could give to mankind. Man is squeezing the earth dry. So sad...
