We have not been given the actual birth of angels for they are merely messengers created by GOD.
The chief was originally Lucifer who was cast to earth as satan.

Now you should get the hint what it means to be a "son" of God. That term should not be taken literally. That title is given to the most pious ones only. Other Prophets were "sons" of God, too. Doesn't make Jesus any special except the fact that he had a virgin birth without a father, and was born as a Prophet (unlike other Prophets, they became a Prophet later in their life).

St . Michael the archangel has been deem the PRINCE of the heavenly host, so my guess would be that he is the chief of them. And God only knows who is the oldest. No pun intended.

How do you know that Lucifer was cast down to Earth? How do you know that Lucifer was ever an actual angel? What tells you that Lucifer is the same as Satan?
