in genesis god said we have over all the earth and to take care of it so that we have food to eat
to care for the animals the plants, the trees
so in our world today how do u feel about our enviroment
recycling, using our resources wisely....how many people are for all this. we must be more aware of how god commanded us simple things but yet we dont think about it much today
how many people study together as a family about god or spirituality and what it means to us.or even to learn simple things like even composting or gardening. we must be active learners and learn from each other to grow.these are things to think about today. www.lds.org

I'm not sure why the negative responses above, but I agree with where you are going, that we are expected to take care of the Earth, but that we often do a horrible job. This question is particularly relevant today when all you hear about on the radio or tv is global warming this or that and that our economy goes up and down with the global oil market. Mankind often fails to consider their stewardship over the Earth and we should do better.

I recycle, buy organic, etc.....

Everything in scripture was given us for our physical, mental and spiritual well being. Gardening is a healer of all three and a spiritual experience with visible rewards. God bless Mmm

God has commanded us to be good stewards on the earth in Genesis. I believe it because it is there. If there is something in the book of mormon, that would not be applicable in my belief.

First off, if the Bible, which contains Genesis, is so important, why do Mormons need another book and use it for most of thier teachings????

Secondly, this forum is not to advertise your religion, so please quit posting links to it.

Thirdly, I do not know what this means:
"in genesis god said we have over all the earth"

Fourthly -this kinda a no-brainer.
