Opportunities are almost unlimited.

Officially, no, but sometimes we had women Marines right there with us who were serving in 'support' roles, who were assigned to support units not combat units.

Woman Marines CAN and DO fight on the front lines ! They may not be assigned to MOS's specific to the " Front Lines " but they are assigned in " Support " roles......which put them right up on the " Front Lines " ( Seriously.....there is no line drawn in the dirt to designate where the woman are......the fighting happens where it happens ! ) If you are a bit skittish about the idea of First Hand Combat Experience.....then consider the Airwing.....the Marine Corps does have an extensive number of Aviation jobs ( both Helos and Jets ).....Aircraft Maintenance Crews go where the planes are ( they generally prefer NOT to land them on ENEMY soil....unless its a Helo ) So many are attached to Aircraft Carriers/ Naval Squadrons.....WELL away from the fighting.
