Sometimes for minutes at a time I can't hear anything except for like the sound when i would put a shell to my ear. I can't even hear myself why I make noises. I haven't told anybody. It was no big deal. But I was at school and I couldn't hear for about 5 minutes it was lunch and I just stayed in the restroom until it went away. I don't want to tell anybody but this is getting serious.

You have to at least go to the school nurse. Odds are you have wax in your ear or something like that. You still need to have it looked at.

Make a doctor's appointment right away with an otolaryngologist (otto-larin-gaw-lo-gist). They specialize in ear, nose, and throat issues.

They will put you in a sound-proof booth in a chair, and have you wear some headphones. Words will be spoken to you in your ears at different volumes and you repeat back what you think you heard, when you think you hear something.

Hearing loss and going deaf are actually two different things. For an explanation visit the National Association for The Deaf:

It's important for you to remember that there could be several causes for what's happening with your hearing. This could be temporary. You wont know for sure until you see a physician.
