He cheated on me before and i havnt talked to him since. He's been sending me notes in class saying how sorry he is.... i don't believe him! but i really like him and he said he wants to go out again!!!! what do i do?

Although it's nice that he's apologizing, I don't think you should trust him again. How do you know he wouldn't cheat on you again? Even though you like him, there will be other people who are more loyal and more trustworthy who you can be with and who will treat you better. Find someone else =]

Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone also deserves a second chance. Sit him down and talk about it. Don't make this situation a one-second-ok-we're-back-together deal, because most likely he'll cheat on you again. Make sure that he knows what he has done is wrong, and that he's changed for the better. Get to the bottom of this - dig up the dirt. If he refuses to tell you why he cheated, he wants you back for all the wrong reasons. Just make sure he knows you're serious, and make sure he's serious about what he says too. If you decide to take him back (after he goes through all of the questions you ask him and seems genuine and truely sorry) then add on that you still like him and don't want to get hurt or have a broken relationship ever again. I don't think your trust can ever be 100% rekindled ever again, but with time and a little work, you can get pretty darn close.

Damn most likely you'll probably be back into his arms again regardless of the comments telling you to stay away from him. If you do just be aware and know that he will potentially break your heart once more. Just be careful, to avoid the hurt, once a cheater always a cheater.
By the way, how did he cheat? was this a small thing (i got drunk at a party and accidentally kissed a girl) or a long time type cheating (i've been in a relationship with my ex for 3 months behind your back) the first one is fine, hard to forgive and forget, it's not condoneable but it's okay, the second one, you've got to move on!

Tell him you understand his feelings but there is no way that you two can ever be a couple again. He cheated. He broke your trust. And as much as you would like to be with him, tell him it's not the best thing for you. And you have to look out for yourself.
If that doesn't give him the picture, tell him you never want to talk to him again. Atleast then he won't keep bothering you. And if he does, you can always bring in authorities to handle it for you.

If he cheated on you before, how do you know he won't do it again? The only way to tell is if he doesn't do it. But then, how can you trust him enough to find out? I wouldn't believe a word he says. Hmmmm what to do...you can forgive him but don't take him back.

A fair degree of annoyance with him for something he has done is justified, he cheated on you but forgive him because you understand that to err is human and to forgive is divine. Your forgiveness will make you a better human being in your own eyes.
Tell him that it is the last time you are giving him a chance. You should pardon many things in others, nothing in yourself. We should keep a fair-sized cemetery in which to bury the faults of loved ones.

If u really trust he wouldn't do it again then go ahead and go out with him again. But if u feel that he will cheat on u again then don't go out with him. If he cheats on u again then u know he is a player and always will be but if u really like him I say go for it but be careful and be ready for the worst just incase.

I say don't put up with it. I mean, you say he is sending you notes in class trying to get you back, so I'm assuming your in highschool, so your still young. Like yes it's just puppy love, but to be cheated on still hurts. He hurt you... and who says he wont again. In fact, if your going to do anything, make out with his best friend and/or date his best friend, thats the way to go.

you can still forgive him and just not go out with him. you need to think about how it would be if you guys did go out again.. would you ever be able to trust him? things would not be the same... is that what you want?
you can tell him or write him a note saying that you forgive him, but you'll never be able to trust him. your not sure if you should get back together.. and just need time to think about it.

If he can cheat on you once he can cheat on you again. You should be a big enough person to at least be friends with him and put the past in the past. Here is a quote for you "Whats done is done and CANT be undone so theres NO use dwelling on it"
