...in Michigan?

Proof of residence, consent of guardian(s), any of that stuff? My younger sister may need to come live with me next year and doing so would require that she transfer. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the answers so far.

I'm in the process of becoming my mother's legal guardian, so I'm hoping I could have her live with me and sign for her to enroll at the new school without having to make another court proceeding out of it and spend a bunch more money proving my parents as unacceptable for her. I wanted to do this kind of under the table assuming that my parents will go along with it.... which seems fairly likely. Ugh.

Contact your local Independent School System's Superintendent. ...They may even be on line. He/She can make you aware of their guidelines, and how the district is divided - so you can know which school will be your sister's designated school.

Every school system is different.
Proof of residency, guardianship, former school's transcript, vaccination records... all can be required.

Good luck! Peace. --De

You need to prove that you live in the school district.
