What are those camera called that celebs use for photoshoots? They're like huge, and they make beeping sounds each time you take a shot.

Haha, that's a classic description. :)

They're called Digital SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras. These are much higher end cameras (I want one so bad, but..) they're also much more expensive. The cheapest is around $5-600 new. Oh, and by the way, the beeping sound can be disabled, and lower end cameras can beep too. ;)

Some of the biggest bleepers that you would see at a celeb photo shoot are:

Any one of several Canon EOS 1D models, with the EOS-1Ds NII being the top dog in most fights.
Any one of the Nikon D1 or D2 models, with the D2Sx being the pick of the litter right now.
You might also see a Fuji Finepix S3 Pro out there, somewhere in the back.

I think you are referring to those big Rangefinder cameras. Professionals usually use them.
