I'm starting DDR again and I'm wondering if it will burn fat as well as working out does.

I used to play 2-3 straight hours , with water, of DDR and burned ATLEAST 800 caleries.

Ahh yes! I have a ton of friends that are avid video game players and started playing that lovely game and lost tons of weight with a little dieting and less desserts they did it.

You can do it too.. Just keep at it. Plus it's a ton of fun.

My oldest step-son who is a college athlete swears he gets a better workout with DDR than in the gym. I think part of that is because it forces you to focus, it forces you to maintain your equilibrium and it pushes you to keep going.

However, there's a big difference between an aerobic exercise like DDR and weight training, if that's what you used to do at the gym. You really need both.

Absolutely. It's a great cardiovascular and it helps tone overall. It's the only workout I do. Mine even has a "workout" game mode, it's about 5 or 6 consecutive dances with ranging levels of difficulty that start easy, get harder, and then ease up again.

My favourite domicile variations are Supernova and kinda Supernova 2. Supernova 2 in basic terms takes songs from different artists, and that i individually like while Konami made their very own songs. Supernova has cool songs like Chaos and Xepher and Max 3 hundred SMMM (great Max Me blend) and Fascination MAXX. Ever considering the fact that Konami began taking different artists' songs, it particularly is kinda going downhill, and Konami is commencing to get boring.

Yes it sure does!

I have DDR Extreme 2 for PS2 and there's a setting you can use that keeps track of how many calories you've burned and how many miles you've gone.

I love it.
