i have a new puppy that i feed 1 cup of food twice a day. i take her out right after. why does she poop 3 to 4 times a day? also is it normal for older dogs that are house broke to want out side the minute they finish eating something??? it doesn't matter what it is he wants out right after..

You did not say how old your puppy is--but as someone has already mentioned, puppies are a little like babies and when they're very young they don't have control over their bladder or bowels. This will change as your puppy gets older (somewhere around 3 or 4 months old) and is house broken.

As for your older dog, though other dogs his age might not ask to go out right away after eating, going out directly after eating is normal for HIM. Dogs are creatures of habit, and going out after he eats is a habit he has gotten into. You need to decide if it's worth the trouble of breaking this habit.

One last thing: If you think he is going potty to excess or having trouble going potty you will want to contact your vet.

Change her puppy food. Purina One is good for a pups stomach.

Because puppies are like babies.

They poop all the time when they are young.
