I just turned 18 and my parents didn't claim me on their taxes, I've worked for 3 different companies over the course of the year 2006 on account of me moving so often. I have received my W2's from 2 of the three jobs I worked this year. I haven't received my W2's from the third job and when I called them to ask if they had been sent out they said yes. I submitted the proper address change paperwork to all the local post offices. The last time i spoke with this company they said they had sent out my W2's and they should be arriving in the mail within 7 to 12 days this was mid Febuary it is now mid March. What should I do is this even something i need to be worried about since i turned 18 in 2007 and the taxes are 2006? I want to file because I think I'll get a return but I don't know what to do? Can I even file without these last W2's or is this fraud? I don't want to get audited or anything! Nor do I want to pay someone to do something that is impossible without said papers! Help me?

This is an easy one... You can call your old employer and have them send another copy of your W-2 to your new address. The other gentleman is right, they may charge you a small fee to do so, but you'll definitely get it before the file deadline, with plenty of time to spare.

Also, if you have any expenses from filing your taxes this year, visit the site in the source box below. I did and had all of my tax expenses through H&R Block refunded to me. They also informed me that had I owed the IRS instead of getting a refund, that they would have paid a portion of that as well. Saved money is good money...

Do you have a pay stub for the third job? You can file with a substitute W-2. Download the form here:

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4852.pdf

So that you don't worry, fill the substitute out as best you can. In the notes, explain that you requested the W-2 and it never came.

Call the employer again before opting for the substitute W-2. You may have to pay a small fee for them to send it to your new address.

Since you are not a dependent, as long as your income was under $8,450, you do not owe taxes. However, if withholding was taken out of your pay, you will get a refund of those taxes. So you will want to file.

Your age doesn't matter; you file when you start earning enough.

You can file with the W-2s that you have, and estimate the amount for the third. You can file an amended return when you receive the third W2.

This is from the IRS website:
You still must file your tax return on time even if you do not receive your Form W-2. If you do not receive the missing information in time to file, you may file you may use Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. Attach Form 4852 to the return, estimating income and withholding taxes as accurately as possible. There may be a delay in any refund due while the information is verified.

If you receive a Form W-2 or W-2C (corrected form) after you have filed your return using Form 4852, and the information differs from what you reported on your return, you must amend your return by filing a Form 1040X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.

We had no national Debt 9 years in the past. If my history serves me a republican got here into workplace and adjusted all that. a hundred years in the past those issues did no longer exist. a hundred years in the past it replaced into 1908 and Taft replaced into President. properly remembered for his 4 years. i'm attempting to think of of the term that is used if the US had maintained possession of all this infrastructure and owned the only proportion of an industry. Darn - what's the different of unfastened commerce and capitalism. In 1907 there replaced into an experience referred to as the Panic of 1907, additionally commonplace by way of fact the 1907 Bankers' Panic. Sound commonly used? My opinion is once you study propaganda like this use that spark to study the history and seek for info. Why replaced into this properly worth posting? for my area posting and emails like this help to unfold lack of information.
