Does it seem to you that even the definition of destiny runs in a circle? One's destiny appears to be decided as an after-the-fact issue. Weather by "the divine, human will, fate, lot or doom" it seems that first you reach a hallmark milestone and then you call it destiny since missing the mark would equal a different destiny altogether.....

It's an odd sort of word, isn't it?

The fulfillment of prophecy, beyond that, it's free will that coincides with your desires in life. So if something actually goes the way you hoped for, many call it destiny. It's a good break that went your way, often times it occurs with hard work and diligence as well.

Destiny is one of many things we blame when we don't want to take responsibility for our own lives. It is similar to the stars, fate, and god's will.

Finding what you feel is the best thing for you, whatever it may be: love, career, hobby, etc.

The best thing to do is to take advantage of it once you've found what it is. Because hopefully that will make you happy, and happiness is the most important thing in the world I think.

It begs the question of whether to believe our lives are preordained or that we create our own reality. The insight into whether things were always destined to happen or not is always 20/20 when it is hindsight. The future's not ours to see, que sera, sera.
