You need to be firm with him. If you slack on the training now, it will hurt you in the long run. You really can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Whenever he is disobedient, punish him immediately. Use a very firm tone of voice, and let him know what he did wrong. Not using a firm tone of voice will only make him think you are either playing with him or aren't that serious. They always say you should never hit a dogs face or nose when disciplining them. You should though smack their butt while using a firm tone of voice.

Whatever you do, make sure you do it sooner than later and if whatever you are doing doesn't seem to be working, get some help from a professional.

Good luck!

Puppy obedience training is an excellent start - both for you and your puppy. Also, be firm but not harsh and very consistent.

Dalmations are very active dogs, so be sure he gets plenty of exercise! This will get some of the fiestiness out of him in a positive activity and also help you bond!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMS2D

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Find a dog obedience class that focuses on positive reinforcement. This is the best approach for very young dogs who have not learned their manners - harsh techniques are not necessary, especially for basic training, even with very rebellious pups. Group classes are best at this stage for two reasons - the dogs become socialized with other dogs and the activity going on in the class will help your dog to learn in noisy, distracting situations, not just perfect conditions.

Don't worry, your dog is still very young and has a lot to learn just like any baby. Early training classes will help a lot.

Be firm when you scold him for misbehaving but DON'T yell. Reward him for his good behavior with treats and a pat on the head. But teach him that just a "good boy" is good enough for behaving properly. Obedience classes really do help. Try looking for a local training facility near you. I hope this helps you and good luck!

Well I hope you didn't think a puppy that young would be obedient!!! Sign it up for puppy obedience classes or do it your self with some assistance of a training guide.
