Do you think that the people you see talking to someone who isn't there is nuts, or possibly speaking with God? (A comedian did that bit on standup a long time ago, but I find it rather curious.)

no...i think they're just telling the voices in there head to keep it low so that they don't disturb the voices in my head...

nothing is immpossible in this great world. there are so many mysteries. we believe in what we see. so don't know. and there are numerous believers too and hence there are many others who cash on the believer,s faith. i feel these people are not nuts. they are just over smart who try to earn a lot by cheating in god"s name . but who knows ur comedian really saw god or was just playing a comedy. go and ask him.

I think of an old Jack Nicholson/Meryl Streep movie, Ironweed, I think it was. Jack Nicholson was a homeless alchoholic and was having hallucinations when he would see imaginary people, but actually was talking to himself. I always think of that when I see someone talking to themselves. I think they see a friend or family member.

I'm 64 years old.
When I was a kid, if a bloke was walking down the street talking to himself we all thought he was nuts.
These days, he's on the telephone.

i think it depends on what the individual is saying that would help me determine in my mind.
