1. The human appendix may have bona fide functions, but this is currently controversial, undemonstrated in humans, and irrelevant as to whether the appendix is a true vestige or not.
2. The appendix is a prime example of dysteleology (i.e. suboptimal structural design), a prediction of genetically gradual evolution.
3. The appendix is a rudimentary tip of the caecum and is useless as a normal, cellulose-digesting caecum.
4. Thus, the appendix is vestigial by both the evolutionary and non-evolutionary, typological definitions of vestigiality.

You asked that question twice...and the new information about the usefulness of the appendix has just recently come to light. I had this discussion the other day with a pediatrician I work with.

Couple of things - maximum atheists do no longer 'hate faith', they hate how non secular zeal impacts them and the international at great, often in a detrimental way. maximum do no longer 'hate the belief' of believing in God, they only don't have self assurance. they have in basic terms as lots genuine to 'carry around' here and answer questions as all and sundry. it particularly is a place to ask questions approximately faith and spirituality. that is not in any way a Christians in user-friendly terms area. possibly you may petition Yahoo for such.

No, you should be sorry for lying. Given I described its specific function, you're lying again. Given that congenital absence of the vermiform appendix occurs in at least 1 in 100,000 births and is not detected until later life (if it is detected), it is not essential. Let's see your "credible" source top that. By the way, I can cite more papers, and don't have to conceal my sources.

they should get a nobel prize for that.
if what you're saying is true, then it's another lesson learned. it's not like we will protest against it.
if there is proof, then why make up stories.?
i just thought of this a while ago..."why do lower forms of animals have a larger appendix than humans?" i havent found your link yet.

Sorry, I didn't see that one. I know that the appendix does have a purpose, but it's purpose often leads to it getting infected and destroying itself. And people survive without it just fine.

I'd rate the above attempt as "Nice try, Ken".
The appendix's contribution to the human lymphoid or immune systems could only be most generously described as marginal.
Its role as a cause of premature death in the days before safe abdominal surgery was enormous.
Even if the appendiceal lymphoid tissue has an important role, placing such tissue in a hollow blind tube prone to infection, obstruction and perforation is not a sensible design feature.
