The only purpose in your life is that which you give yours. If I'm feeling blank or lost, I try to break out of it by finding something that motivates me. Life is extremely short. There's so much out there to experience and many causes to pursue.

Been there, to the point where I couldn't really function in every day life. I can't give you any wonderful stories involving God though. I don't know where he was while I was going through all that. I saw a counselor and got on a medication.

After six months I was back on track, off the med, and no longer in need of a counselor. (God...still nowhere to be found).

Figure out what's causing it. Dead-end relationship? End it. Bad job? Find a new one. Lack of jobs? Get an education. Living with the parents? Move out.

Actually, just picking up and moving across the country works really well. New friends, new job, new relationships. It's not as hard as it sounds.

Once sin entered the world there was a separation, a void between God and man. But God provided a bridge from us to Him named Jesus, His Son. Sin = void in our lives. But, God in His merciful love for us provided His Son, a perfect sacrifice to fill the void that you are feeling. When we're born into sin, we all have a void that we yearn to fill. You at least recognize the void and all you need to do is fill the void with a personal relationship with Jesus, accept His love and payment for your sins, repent and follow Him. Some people try to fill their voids, blanks with worldly things, that do not satisfy and continue to feel blank, lost and confused. Jesus bridged the gap to the Father in Heaven and will fill your void!!

Not anymore. Are you feeling this way? I'm sorry, it can be frightening. Since I came to know Jesus, and God's word, I am very much at peace. I believe all God's word, and He says "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not to harm you....to give you hope and a future". That is His promise for you, as well.

See your primary healthcare provider first, and begin the process of ruling out (or in) clinical depression or some other mood disorder.
