That's a yes and no. Security is based on both the degree of peril you face an degree of peril you fear.

Those who have security often have the luxury of being more moral. Those who feel secure have the strength to be moral.

On the other hand, those who feel insecure may try to create a sense of security, by claiming high morals even if they're not up to the task of living them.

Interesting question. I have had values, or morals and still felt very insecure about who I was, socially or otherwise.

My values, over time, actually made me secure in who i was. I could always fall back on what I believed was right when faced with situations that were new to me.

Sounds rather logical. However, facts are stubborn things. It seems when a person is really secure in their marriage or their job, or even their "kingdom", before long. the following maxim comes barrelling into their personality.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely"

(Regardless of how well they start, benevolent dictatorships never seem to stay that way very long.)

Would I steal bread to feed my starving children? Yes. Would I steal from someone else who's starving? I can only thank God I was born in America where the church-run soup kitchens make the question hypothetical.

Sounds right,.....the amount of belief you have in yourself usually determines your limits in everything.
