No. Not at all. It's a symbol of your faith and of your love for your daughters.

Has someone tried to tell you otherwise? Is that why you are uncertain?

Don't listen to them. You were comfortable enough chosing and getting a tattoo. Don't let someone elses negative views intrude on your life.

Why would you do that? God tells us to keep our temples holy. In the OT, specifically mentions not to get tattoo's. So, I guess it could be considered a sin. The good news is, there is forgiveness if you are truly sorry for it. I have a tattoo, I wish I never got one, but I was not a Christian when I got it either. I believe that when Jesus gives us our new bodies, mine will be tattoo free!!

it would depend on your intention when having it done. if her name is in the shroud to show what and who jesus died for then no i don't feel that it is a sin. if the name is there to repesent your salvation then i feel that it is blasphemous and that is a sin. but then again if you look at your daughter and she invokes the spirit in you then you see jesus in her, no sin.
in the end if it was done with true love there can be no mistake and god would not view it as sinful.
peace!

I don't think so. Some people believe that just getting a tattoo is a sin. I guess you and I will be going to hell in their eyes. (I have three.)

Hello Friend----I'm going to have to go ahead and be quite blunt with this issue------if I had put that tattoo on----------it would haunt me so bad I'd be looking for an artist that could change it into something entirely different.------just my opinion------good luck

i don't think so, as long as u did not want to assign it to a bad thing. if you love ur daughter and like your tatoo. it's then fine. don't worry man. don't give a damn to what people think either (as long as you can bear it)

There is no sin in my worldview... but it's rather gruesome in my opinion.
