How do you get the approval of the family of your new boyfriend, if they are still attach with his ex?

I mean what can you do, I would let them get too know me and like me for me but I would do this effortlessly. Don't try too hard to get your name around his family, perhaps they are not as fond of you as his ex, or maybe they are so use to her and unconsciously they are discussing her and not taking your feelings into account. If it is too overbearing I would first tell my boyfriend and he will more than likely tell them something or I would tell them that it makes me feel uncomfortable to always here his ex's name. If they do not take your feelings into consideration then I would not put myself in a situation where I am NOT always visiting them, maybe only on holidays! Hey you have feelings too!
