What's the best transportation and way to get to Brooklyn/Queens/Bronx?

No doubt the subway. But to correct one person, the "Q" does NOT go into the Bronx.

You can take an express bus (they usually have a "QM" (Queens), "BxM" (Bronx)...don't take the BxM4C unless you plan on traveling as far north as White Plains (Westchester), "BM (Brooklyn)" or "X" (Staten Island, for the most part) and costs $5.

The subways go to most places you'd want to go in all the boroughs. Get a map, and check it out. Buses can have some strange, round-about routes in the outer boroughs, so the subways are usually easier to negotiate.

The subway!!!

There are also express busses!!!

Some city busses cross boroughs!!!

Cabs--will cost you many $$$$

Check out Staten Island--take the ferry!!!--you'll see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from the ferry!!!
