i am trying to lose weight.. i am about 5 ft 6 inch and like 220 lbs i have just recently realized that most activities that used to require NO effort are now more difficult to do. i am 15 years old. for the past 3 weeks i have been going outside. riding bike for about 3 hours daily.. and playing basketball like 5 times a week. for about 1 hour and a half a day. i try to stay away from mcdonalds and junk food. but its tough.. Very tough. like today i went to checkers and bought some crappy junk food. i knew it was bad for me but i told myself that one time wont hurt. i dont eat much of it. but i need to stop. eating fruits doesnt fill me up. makes me feel empty. i woke up this morning. drank a Cup of water. ate a banana and an orange.. and went out. played for about 2 hours outside and felt the craving for food again. is there any combination of things that is easy to do or at least better than eating ONLY fruits.. that of course will make me Skinny again. i really want to lose weight!

You know, it isnt what you eat , but how much of it you eat and how often you exercise..... You are feeling hungry because you are putting less in and burning more.... when you get hungry, get a glass of water and sip on it..... get you some snacks that will stay with you like oatmeal and a slice of whole wheat toast for breakfast with an apple. for lunch a peanut butter sandwich with a bowl of friut fruit and for supper a small piece of baked chicken and a bowl of steamed veggies.... great snacks are popcorn, nuts fresh fruits and veggies..... I was once over weight and it is so hard to let go of the taste of all those yummy foods, but those yummy foods will kill you.... You are on the right track.... Just hold on And when it gets tough, imagine how good you will fill the next 10 pounds that falls off and the next pant size you drop.... I hope this helps..... Small portions and healthy food and plenty of exercise,,,, Dont over do it or you WILL get burnt out that i promise you and losing weight too fast will come back plus 10 or more pounds with it.... Make it a life style change......

Drink lots of water!!! Water will fill you up and is very beneficial in losing weight. Its good that you're active! :) Eating 6 small meals a day works better for some people than eating 3 meals a day. You have to make small changes. At dinner, instead of getting up for seconds, dont. Make your portions smaller. Then slowly start to cut calories. If you drastically cut your calories right away it will be harder to maintain it. Think of it as a lifestyle change. I lost over 75 lbs in 9 months just watching my caloric intake and exercising. try giving yourself 2 weeks with out any junk food. After those two weeks go to Mcdonalds and get something. Then see how you feel. For me atleast, I felt disgusting after eating junk food. Thne you'll realize that eating fruits and stuff isnt so bad after all.
A good meal for me that fills me up is, 2 slices of bread 35 calories each. Oscar meyer honey ham that comes pre packaged, 50 calories for 6 slices,a little bit of light mayo, and lettuce. It'll take getting used to, but if you use a little self discipline youll do great. Contact me for more advice, after losing 75 lbs i have a lot of tips!

You sound like you are doing a lot of activity, which is great. You should make sure your diet has a variety of foods, not just fruit. If you want to eat a lot of fruit that is fine, but include veggies and some protein. If you don't like meat you can get protein from peanut butter and beans and stuff. That will give you more energy to do your activities. If you don't get enough food to supply your body, you will NOT lose any fat. Don't be hard on yourself about what you eat because always denying yourself will just make you want it more. Just remember to eat sweets or junkfoods in moderation. Drink lots of water to help you feel full. Propel is tasty if you tire of plain water.

You're off to a great start! The exercise is great. . .but please don't let yourself fall into the "one time won't hurt" trap with junk food. Because then you'll start thinking "well, ANOTHER time won't hurt either," and then you'll be eating it a lot more. As for eating healthy. . .you don't have to eat just fruits and veggies, although those are good. You can have grilled or baked chicken and fish, and there are so many great ways to prepare those to make them good. In fact, you can have LOTS of things, just as long as you KEEP THE PORTION SIZE SMALL. As a thought, have you looked into Weight Watchers? They teach you how to eat healthier, and it's worked for a LOT of people. It's not a diet, it's just teaching you to eat more responsibly, and you're so young that if you start now, you are going to be a healthy, incredible person soon.;) Good luck!

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.

You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.

It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out Dr. Charles Livingston's video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.
