What do you consider ugly?

Do you see what I mean, it's a subjective term. In certain societies, sticking large plates in your lips to expand or adding rings to your neck to stretch it is a sign of Being beautiful. So, how do you decide who is beautiful and who is ugly.

I've met some people that by Miss America standards are pretty homely, but they are beautiful people because of their sweet spirits. They are loving and the love they feel brings about a wonderful inner beauty.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that it is not a sin to be considered ugly by any means.

However, pride IS considered a sin, because it makes a person to become self-centered. Vanity also is considered a sin because it also leads a person to become self-centered.

It is more of a sin to be ugly on the inside than ugly on the outside.

Hello. No, it is not a sin to be "ugly". Sin is a willful act of disobedience, and our features are designated by God. I believe God made you with purpose, destiny, and dignity though you may not look as good as another may. We have to somehow, by God's help, come to a place of accepting ourselves as we are... imperfections and all. I don't believe in doing things to alter we are such as in plastic surgery, overdoing it with cosmetics and the like. Yes, we should and can do things to accentuate what we DO have... but not go overboard. A kind heart within a person less appealing is far better than beauty that's mean or intemperate. Like an older gentleman said to me once: Beauty is SKIN DEEP but ugly is BAD to the BONE! Good advice. Just be yourself, think positive, and show who you are inside. Good luck. Keep pushing!

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. If you are ugly inside it is probably because you have too much sin in your life. If you consider someone to be ugly you may want to take a look inward and see what it is that is bothering you that you have to drag someone else down with you.

Sin is an outdated concept. You should use your own brain instead of following other people's lists blindly. And since you're not blind, I'm sure you can figure out what is good and bad in other people. Everybody is ugly in some way to somebody and beautiful in some way to somebody else. You can even be ugly in one way and beautiful in another way to the same person. If you think about it, most people really are ugly and beautiful in various ways.

In Leviticus it is a sin to be ugly in certain ways - such as hunchbacked , dwarfs and the pug nosed. Also if you don't have good eyesight or have crushed tesicles!
The Bishops at Nicea should never have left that stupid book in the Bible!

God made all of us to his imagine and we make of it what we want. We all start out pure then are taught to be what we are. So its not a sin to be "ugly" but it is not ok in gods eyes to treat people like theyre below you because you think theyre "ugly".
