Interesting choice--those that wanted to serve but were opposed to war could chose the peace corps-that would make the draft more acceptable--if the war keeps needing more troops we will need a draft soon!

I would do it in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact that I am now too old and that I have children. Not enlisting in the service is one of the line items on my regret list. I am super duper proud of every serviceman and woman. I love them all and they are my hero's.

I encourage our children to think about it when they are of age but my husband (who did serve) discourages it. He discourages it because of the chance of death if we were at war at the time.

Already served .. and proudly in the US Armed Forces (and Retired from that Honorable Service). My siblings are STILL serving ... and they are proud of all their service as well.
