I had mine pierced 2 years ago, recently took it out. I had the same problem, either you need to remove the jewelry and clean the skin thoroughly,or the jewelry is rubbing up against something sensitive, like a nerve. It will go away, eventually

A piercing is a wound, clear and simple. Treat it as one, look after it, keep it clean and bandaged if need be, don't move it unless you have to till it's healed and stop fiddling with it. You can't rot bone, if you think otherwise, then please write back and tell me exactly what part of bone is able to be rotted, at least in bodies that are still alive. I understand eventual decomposition of bone for corpses of say 80+ years, but a living human? Please.. I have 3 piercings and have never come across nor heard from others who are involved with piercings or have any, of pple developing cysts from piercings. The main issue with eyebrow piercings is that there is the possibility of hitting the nerve on your face that runs past your eyebrow and will cause your eyebrow to droop. Also for some, the weight of the piercing can cause the skin around the piercing to droop over time also leading to uneven eyebrows. You have migraines? First have a look at whether you had any headaches at all prior to the piercing. Then check if you're under any stress. Stress headaches are horrible and can affect people more than they realise because pple habitutate to a certain level of stress anyway and then just let the continual stress wear them down. Are you dehydrated? Dehydration causes headaches. If you stopped worrying about your piercing and all the 'if's' then your anxiety or the issue would drop and most likely your headaches would calm down. If you're really anxious abt something then your stress levels rise significantly, then you're more likely to develop bad stress headaches. If you really want to then go to the piercing shop that you went to ( or any one really) and talk to them about your concerns and ask their advice and whether they're aware of anything like this happening before, and what they recommend.

It doesn't sound like the headaches have anything to do with your eyebrow. If it was infected then you would have swelling and puss. Maybe your headaches are related to something else. Just make sure that your cleaning it everyday with peroxide, alcohol or ear piercing cleaner that you get from a piercing place. Also use some antibacterial soap like dial white antibacterial to clean it when you take a shower or wash your face. You should also call the place that you got the piercing from and they can help you better. You might have to call or go see a doctor. Hope this helps.

I'm an RN. Signs of infection include redness, swelling, and heat around the area, in your case the piercing. Maybe someone, some where, got a cyst at some time, but usually infections will be the things I previously mentioned.

Your eyebrow is not going to rot the brow ridge on your skull if you have it treated. I've never heard of any thing like that, but perhaps it happened to one person. After that, it became a scare.

If you are running a FEVER, and have all of the fore mentioned symptoms (REDNESS, SWELLING, etc) go see your doctor!! He or she will put you on antibiotics that work well on skin infections.

In the mean time, keep that area especially clean! Soap and water will do it fine if you wash a couple times a day.

But DO see your MD to be sure! Don't let all your fear prevent you from getting a professional look at the pierce.

Good luck.

How reputable was the place you had the piercing done from? If they are very reputable, give them a call and ask for advice. If this is serious, then it's time to take out the ring and go see a doctor. In the mean time, take 2 Ibuprofen, clean the pierced area really well with the disinfectant you have been using on it, then put ice over it.

I dont think its much to worry about, probably just bothered the tissue that triggers your headaches. You should go to a walk in clinic or your doctor just to make sure though, they will give you a better idea and the right answer. Its best to get it looked at now than wait for it to get worse.

Get to a doctor asap. Only he can tell you for sure if it's an infection or not, and you don't want to take the chance of this being serious.

If it's nothing, you may have lost a little money - but if it isn't you may save yourself some serious complications.

I hope you feel better soon.....

if there's an infection the temperature of that area should be higher than the rest. Does the headache come with a fever? if not you should be fine :-) but do go see a professional. better safe than sorry
