My Gamo shoots 1000fps at the muzzle which is just under a .22lr's velocity. However, the much ligher pellet will be effected by wind much more than the 30 to 40 grain .22 bullet. For a .22lr 100 yards is about max but for a high powered pellet gun I'd say 50 yards is max. I never really shoot beyond that with my pellet gun. If the wind is dead calm you can probably get out to 75 or 100 yards.

it entirely depends on the quality and type of gun. An airsoft will only travel about 100 at around 350 fps. however a BB gun can travel much farther, a pump rifle can travel especially far because it gains power with every pump, which can become lethal at a certain point (1000 fps). they can also travel extremely far. HANDLE WITH CAUTION!!! you can get sent to juvie if u mishandle a BB gun.
