I have been a male stripper for a few years and just recently have had negative reactions to my height and or weight. I'm 5-6 and about 150 lbs. I'm built like a natural amateur bodybuilder and I'm a kickboxer so I'm ripped. Also I have a much larger package than the average guy (girls usually think I am stuffing something in my thong). I've been told my face is good looking and I have perfect straight white teeth.

How important is height to girls when I have everything else? Plus I put on a great show. I am personable and witty during the show, so they have a great time. I always try to make everyone feel special and they can tell I'm sincere.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thank you

No, your height isn't one of the things you have going for you. Work on your other assets instead of your liabilities.

Dude, when I was 14, I was only 5'4", and I tried to get the pituitary injections so I could grow taller, but my mom and all her friends (her "posse") converged and denied me the chance. I'm 5'6" now, and I have always been content with my height, because I don't have very many talents or friends, and whenver I go somewhere, I just hang around w/out saying much. So, I would rather take up less space being as useless. Then, too, I'm about the same height as most girls, so I have never minded being this height.

...but lately, I joked with my mom (who hates me) about being 25 and never having dated or married, and I've always just called it bad luck, but my mom automatically said, "Well, I don't see what your problem is. I mean (so-and-so) married a beautiful woman, and he is shorter than you..."

So, my mom automatically assumed it's my height, and I've come to the realization that it's something I should've been more conscious of than I've been.

If you're a male stripper, suppose that the events you are invited to are in expectation of the perfect specimen. If that is the case, 5'6" is below average for the height of a male. I hate to break it to ya. I don't think it's a major deal, but it will definitely bring reactions of surprise.

I'm only about five feet tall and female. I really don't care about height, however most men are much taller than I am. I just care if a guy can sing/play an instrument, is learning or knows french and has a good sense of humor, also if he is into scary movies that is a major plus. But I wouldn't really care if a guy were 7ft tall, or 3ft tall, just as long as he was a decent guy. Some guys don't like the fact that I'm 5ft tall and the average for a grown woman is like 5.5ft. tall(at least)so I just look at is as their loss.

I think the importance of a guys height might depend on how tall the girl is. I'm only 5'3" so height in a guy isn't that big a deal to me but my cousin is over 6 foot tall and she refuses to date anyone shorter than her. I've actually had conversations with her about it, asking her what happened if the man of her dreams was short, would she just blow him off? But on the other hand, I also have a friend who is very tall and she doesn't care at all how tall guys are. So I think it really just depends on the girl...

Look at David Spade, lol. I, personally, would not immidiately be attracted to a shorter guy. But I am only 5'5 1/2, so you would be my height anyway. That's cool. But I am definetely not attracted to ripped strippers. It's to much. But I would give anyone the chance if they stole my heart.

I think your occupation is more of a problem for you than your height. But . . . 5'6" is not THAT short . . . and given that you have a good physique otherwise, I think many women will be attracted to you. Just don't spend much time on girls who are more than two or three inches taller than you are . . . they might not like guys a lot shorter than they are. Good luck!

Height is nothing personal. If you are kind and friendly to girls, I'm sure they will attracted to you. For example, do you watch WWE? Rey Mysterio is shorter than his wife but they still love each other! As long you are good hearted, I'm sure many will think you're special.

for some girls height matters a lot. for myself personally, I like guys who are not way taller than I am (5'3"). your height seems perfect to me. I'm sure you're a great guy, you just have to find the right girl :)

To me you sound like a freak who thinks of nothing but himself. You are saying you have this and that going for you.Alot of woman do like guys 5'7 upwards so SORRY you have missed the boad there.Has for being a stripper it is abit degrading but whatever takes your fancy.Plus 90% of girls do like abit of height on their man so you mau have a few pluses. When you do your shows try to wear cowbot boots then maybe people maynot see you being below average.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

Most women don't like men who are over 6'. In fact, all the women I've known only like guys who are tall if they themselves are tall. If a girl is 5'2 she doesn't want a guy who towers over her.
