Christie,I am glad I did whatever I did in this split family
situation.My step-dad was a Basta-d,and my step-mom
did not want me around.So, what are the choices,do what's best for you.You don't have to live with a parent to be close to them.Keep in touch and think of what you need to become a happy adult.I was 15 when i moved from my Mother's to my Dad's home.and I left home to move in with a friend at 16...
My mother took it hard but she drink a lot so I needed a better atmosphere.It's all good...

I let my 11 year old son (9 at the time) move in with his father. He was having a little trouble with my fiancee, his little sister was driving him crazy and not letting him breath and he has a great relationship with his father so it was a move that broke my heart but it was best for my son. He goes to middle school in my home town and is only 15 min away so he sleeps over our house a few times a week. I know you were asking for a kids point of view, but as a parent, where ever you will be happy and do better in school and in life is where you belong, no matter who it may hurt at first. I was crushed when he wanted to move, I knew then and I know now that it was best for him to do that. His dad and I get along very well and that helps the situation too.

Yes, I did and it was my mother because I couldn't stand my father and it hurt him very much from what he said to someone else. I was about 12-13 at the time and yes I was happy at the time I did it.

I moved in with my dad at first. My mom took it pretty well. I was 11. I don't kno if I was happy I did.
I moved back in with my mom recently. My dad didn't take it too well! He's constantly calling me and he won't leave me alone!!! He's trying to get me to go back wit him. I just moved in with my mom...I am 12!!! I am VERY happy that I moved back wit my mom because I was under soo much stress at my dad's house!!!
He put me under so much stress that he drove me to cutting myself!!!

we can't really answer these questions for you. only you know where you would be safe and happy. you should ask yourself...who would treat you better....who would teach you....who is the better role model...???
