Who runs this world, nature? So why suppose our brain in the head instead of in butt, you decided this?

It's because they hate God and don't want to be responsible and are evil liberal gays. They might tell you otherwise, but who are you going to believe, me or a lying atheist?

This 'question' is undeniably uninformed garbage.
However, I will answer, in much the same vein as some above me.
I, an atheist of some 53 years standing, exist because I view all religion and gods as man-made inventions; because I have no need for an artificial crutch comprising an imaginary friend to support me through the grim reality of life. Because I simply do not believe anything at all concerning the existence of a conveniently-invisible and totally silent and apparently powerless paranormal entity. It's all BS but, because it's a 'nice' idea and so many people wish it were true, they believe it is. Some are so gullible that they will eagerly absorb lies as fact simply because they want it to be so, regardless of the fact that it is complete nonsense.

Who runs this world? What does that mean? I guess GW Bush thinks that he does, guided by his notion of a non-existent god. In reality, this world operates on the chaos principle. What happens just happens and all in accordance with the laws of physics, which your bible conveniently ignores in the interest of spreading fantasy. There is no divine plan, no pre-ordained scheme of things. Just ask anyone living in Indonesia why that country has been hit by repeated natural disasters and accidents recently why their allah is doing this to them, which, of course, he isn't, since he doesn't exist at all.

Brain location ... I don't follow your thinking here. The construction of the body, whether human or ant, has evolved in such a way that makes sense - which you don't.

Smart? I guess that I have sufficient intelligence to put words together that make sense to other people.(Do try that sometime?)
I suppose that I have a sufficient level of smarts to be able to make a logical and reasonable judgement about whether there is a sky-fairy or not.
I assume that my state of mind is free from confusion and delusion ... how about yours?

Appropriately pathetic question from an evidently under-educated idiot.

It makes evolutionary sense for our bodies to have developed in the way they have. All our major sensors, i.e. our eyes, ears, nose and tongue are high up to prevent them from harm and to get the best use out of them (so you can see further with your eyes for example). It makes sense for these sensory organs to be as close to the brain as possible, because the brain is the part of the body that deciphers the messages from these sensors. The brain is so important and so vulnerable that it needs to be encased in a hard layer of bone (our skull). All these things obviously make up what we call a head. Your butt (where you expel waste) is at the opposite end of your body to your mouth for obvious reasons.

Have you never heard of the theory of evolution? Look up Charles Darwen and the survival of the fittest to see why scientists think things have developed the way they have.

I don't think athiests necessarily think they're smarter than religious people. Do you know that scientists found and area in the brain that is related to religious thought? Perhaps in athiests this part of the brain is less developed than in a religious person (NOT a bad thing)?

Are you sure your brain is not in your butt?

don't insult them!

asking question like that is just gonna get them angry and all defensive!

if they don't want to believe, we can't make them!

if people stopped asking questions like his, maybe atheists and christains and those of other religions would all stop arguing!!!

its a total pain in the butt when people on here start arguing and insulting each other!

it goes against what religion teaches!

using religoin as a way of insulting others is wrong! thats not what religion is all about. that is the reason some of them don't have a religion. coz they see what people like you write and then they think that if you have a religion, it must mean u think u no everything and treat everyone else like dirt!

look at all the people complaining now!!!!

I don't know if I completely understand you question but I do know that different people believe in different things. You should not frown upon such believes for how do you know you believe is correct? There are Atheist for the same reason there are cows, dogs, or you for that matter. You should be a good remodel for future preferences and set and example to show no racism.

Obviously, you do not represent the majority that is the believers in god. If you were, I'd be VERY worried.

Just to let you know -- Nature is a THING, not a person. Instead of the WHO descriptive, it should be an IT descriptive.

From a strict practical perspective , if our brains were located in our lower abdominal regions - our butts as it were- they would be better protected from injury. Just a thought or possibly a improvement on the initial design.

I sincerely doubt it is because the atheist thought they are smart hence they are here, but rather because the they don't believe in God.

Nobody runs nature but nature itself. The brains are in our head because it is there, of course there are exception ..... like a di*khead or a butthead ;P.

nice grasp of the language you've got there. you may want to check, I'm not so certain your brain is not "in butt".

I'm in the world because my parents brought me into it, not because I think I'm so smart.

There are atheists because not everybody needs the emotional crutch of religion.

It depends on what you mean by 'runs this world'. Financially? Weather wise?

We know where are brains are - that's scientific knowledge. It wasn't guessed randomly (like the existence and attributes of your god).
