Blasphemy causes no harm and kills nobody, however, as in the Luke 12:10, where blaspheming the Holy Spirit is spoken of as unforgivable.

How about Killing and Raping? You repent before your death and you go to Heaven

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is very different. You hear people blaspheme God all the time. or Jesus. But how often do you hear anyone speak against the Holy Spirit? It is because the role of the Spirit is so unique in our lives. You see it is the Spirit that draws the sinner to Christ. It is the Spirit that reveals truth to us. It is the Spirit that convicts the sinner of his sin. So when you willfully turn Him away, you harden your heart to God. When you do this long enough, the Spirit will not always strive with man. There are limits. He can be grieved. You need to realize that sinners who continually turn away from the conviction that the Spirit does then that is when that blasphemy occurs. You reach that point when you no longer care about sin, about God, and have no conscience about sin. I believe that many serial killers reach this point. But any person who still has a conscience, still has hope. God is the judge, not you or I.

it rather is approximately time human beings stood up and suggested that they don't have self assurance interior the Holy Spirit. Christians can get as upset as they choose - it is going to offer them some thought how atheists experience whilst they see babies, maximum of whom have been indoctrinated from a youthful age, professing to have self assurance in it. it rather is like watching sixteen twelve months olds prattle on approximately Santa Claus...very nerve-racking. the two problems I even have with the Blasphemy project are: a) it is not blasphemy to state that one would not have self assurance in God or the Holy Spirit; and b) the project encourages thought interior the "soul" by using inviting human beings to commerce it for a DVD.

Exactly.

Homosexuality is neither a sin nor an abomination. Yet many Christians have a blast telling gays they're going to hell. Meanwhile, the children they beat are growing up to be fanatics just like them and they continue to make up new rules as they go along.

Why is it that when the Abrahamic God stones unbaptized babies it is metaphorical, but when he condemns every single person other than his die-hard worshippers it is taken literally?

The Blasphemy Challenge reminds me of the people who get a number 13 tattoo to prove that they aren't afraid of the number 13.

If the number 13 were not important, they would not pay so much attention, would they?

If I understand this correctly, you're free to rape an murder, as long as you don't blaspheme the Holy Spirit in the process.

The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts the killer or the rapist of his sin. If you deny the Holy Spirit, He will not convict you of your sin because He will leave. If you feel nothing is wrong it is because you are not convicted.

I think the whole point is that you COULDN'T repent the challenge. They took it because they don't believe in your superstitions. Not because they are horrible people. Just not superstitious.
