Ask her out if you like her! If you know her and you think that the tongue piercing is hot then that is cool. You can not tell someone what they can or can not do to their own bodies. Either you like it or you don't. I do not think tongue piercings are bad, but they do give the wrong impression. However, you can't judge a book by it's cover! I have a tattoo and a belly button piercing and I am still a good person. I don't flaunt it and it's pretty much hidden! That doesn't make me a bad person!

There are many motivations for getting a tongue piercing that don't fit your stereotype of "crazy girls". If you want to pursue a relationship with her, or anyone else, I'd strongly suggest you learn to ask about things like this in a non-judgmental way before you react to them, especially if it's a negative reaction.
Imagine if the tables were turned. If you went out and she said, "Your selection of clothes fits my image of a nerd, and I don't want to go out with a nerd. I wish you'd change your wardrobe so you wouldn't give people the wrong impression. But I'll love you even with the nerdy clothes." Would you consider that a good start to a relationship?
And by the way, first date is too early to talk about love. She'll likely think you're desperate or a manipulator.

You're right. I also think that those piercings give the wrong impression. It goes along the lines of tattoos too, like the "tramp stamp."
I would ask her out on a date and see how things go. She might even bring up her piercing and ask how you feel. If so, be honest but not blunt.
In the end, if you like her enough and the feelings are mutual, the piercing won't be a big problem. She might even remove it if she cares about what you think. Besides, whenever you do get together, you can think of it as a bonus.

If you really love her that much, then the piercing thing really shouldn't get to you. I mean, that piercing didn't totally take a toll on her character and personality, did it? But if she's the same person that you admire and love, just deal..besides, you said you kinda liked it, so what's there to be so freaked out about?
And if that tongue piercing really gets to you, you should definately (but softly) confront her about it, and tell her that it kinda makes you feel uncomfortable (she doesn't need to know the real reason). If you say the right words to her, she'll take it the right way....trust me :)

i dont really know what you mean. But there are like two solutions here:
1. Ask her out. It shouldnt matter what she looks like or does to herself. You shouldnt judge her(not saying that you are).
2. Steer clear of her for a while. This tongue piercing may mean shes ready to live a crazier life.
It is all your decision. Personally, I would choose number 1, but this is where you need to make your own decision...

Tell her how you feel! The girl cannot read your mind! Tell her that you really care about her and that she is a truly wonderful, down-to-earth person, but that tongue ring just gives people the wrong impression of her. If she got it for the wrong reasons, she'll be offended- but she may also be touched by your concern.

don't stereo type her. In other words don't judge a book but the cover. she is still the same person with or without the piercing. That's like saying someone is good looking till they get glasses and now they are nerdy. go for it.

You have all the proof you need that she does crazy things. If you can't deal with that don't ask her for a date.
