I am 19, have always had a sensitive stomach. All of my stress goes to my tummy. For the past year or so, my stomach has been making all sorts of weird noises. It's not gas and it's not when I'm hungry. Sometimes it seems to pop in my lower abdomen and makes, I guess, high-pitched noises. It's embarassing because it's audible, plus it's uncomfortable. It doesn't cause gas or make me need to go to the bathroom though. It's like daily stirring and movement in my stomach! Any ideas on what this is?

Actually it is gas and your intestines moving food, liquids and air through. The gas may dissipate so it doesn't have to be released all at once, that's why you may think it's not caused by gas. Do you have post nasal drip at this time of year from the dry heat and cold weather? If so, you may be swallowing air along with the mucous.

People think their stomach growling means they are hungry, but it's usually the sounds of digestion and stuff moving through the stomach, intestines and bowel.
If you're going somewhere and don't want it to make quite as much noise, you can try taking Mylanta beforehand. See if there are certain foods that cause that to happen and try to avoid them when you need your body to be quiet. :)

You answered your own question by stating all of your stress goes to your stomach! You already told your brain where to direct your stress. Now it has a place to go. Try prayer! Give your problems to the higher power and let hem worry about it! You will feel the difference immediately! God Bless.

Might be indigestion - perhaps you've taken too large of bites or some new types of foods you've been eating don't agree with your stomach.

In all seriousness, do you think you might be constipated? That can make you feel pretty sick.
