Did the thought of humans building a tower that reached clear to heaven give him the creeps?

And how did God's action remedy the situation? Were there not even two people who still spoke the same language?

Or coudn't they have continued, using sign languarge?

are you serious!?!? God isn't afraid of any human! And no human can build a tower that will ever reach Heaven! Get real! God didn't punish the Babylonians because they were merely building a tower, it's because they planned on taking over Heaven and becoming God themselves. God was angry as their unfaithfulness. God is always punishing the unfaithful people.

He created all the languages during this time. There probably were a few men that could speak the same language but 2 or 4 or 6 men could not continue to build a large tower. And how would thousands of Babylonians all of a sudden know how to use sign language and understand each other?

Suggestion: think about your questions before you ask. My 12 yr old knew the answer to this one.

You are a ignorant man. The best part of that is this. You don't have to stay that way. You above all need to study the Word everyday. You see, you only have part of the Word in your mind. Its like only hearing one side of a telephone conversation.

When the people of Babylon along with their king, Nimrod were constructing the tower, they did not do this to get to God but to avoid God.

Send your floods again God they would shout from this tower. We are high enough now that it does not matter how long or how much it rains. We be gods over us they would say.

Got the message? Read it and digest the Word and don't come back showing us your lack of wisdom unless you want to know the truth.><>

This story is very interesting because it depends on what the tower was being used for. Because it was built in Babylon, it is suspected that the devil may have planted some kind of weapon or condition there. Remember that there are angels all around us, although they are hidden. Humans should not conspire with satan or deal with him to increase their power, stature, wealth or position, nor work to enslave others by towering over them. Breaking down their communication is one way to disrupt their power chain. Many things point to the wisdom of God which he convinces us about ways of handling things. During WWII Apache Indians were used as Code Talkers to increase the effectiveness of Allied messages and prevent interception. A good defense is often a well planned offense.

Ah, but humans weren't building a tower to reach the heavens, although it was close. We were building a landing platform for spacecraft, and if you consider the possibility of the 'gods' of that time actually being aliens on earth posing as divine critters, it follows as logical that whichever of them didn't commission the platform to be built would not be happy about it's construction.
The bit about the languages, well if you want to consider another possibility, that of these aliens having the ability to communicate telepathically (one would have to think an alien species that bothered travelling all the way to earth would be more advanced mentally than us) they could have simply made all the workers believe they were not able to understand each other.
Of course all of this is just conjecture as none of us were there and therefore don't really know.

Afraid?? Hardly... Man can do nothing to rival God. I guess you could say it feared God because He may have feared FOR mankind and how they had fallen away from His word. They wanted to bring all the glory to themselves and little or nothing to God. I think the words "sorrow" or "disappointment" would be better than the word "fear." If you were working with a person that speaks German only, how are you going to tell him you need to: Take a break or talk to the boss about something or get a drink of water, or that you have to leave a half hour early??? How are you going to convey all these things if he can't understand you and you can't understand him?? It worked the same way with them..

Just another attempt by humankind, to try and reach heaven in our own strength. Couldn't do it then, and can't do it now.
Praise The Holy Lamb Of God !!!!

Yes, it gave him the creeps, cause their intention was to invade once they got there.

The last thing God wanted was a bunch of human heathens running amok upon the sparkling heavenly streets.

He did the right thing by confounding their language. Here's something you may not know; He also caused them to start farting really bad, and they all commenced to hate the way each other smelled. This is not mentioned in the Bible, it was edited out.

Because of man's nature to disagree, He did this as a way to halt their work and make them realize that it wasn't meant to happen.
