i've been using it for probably 4 years now and when i put it on everynight i get some burning/stinging. i use my hand as a fan and wave it in front of my face to make it cool down, and then once the gel dries it's fine.
and if you just started using it, for the first week or two, you might break out more. and that's normal. it's just cleaning out our pours and after those couple weeks your skin will clear up. also, if you miss a two or three (or sometimes just one) day in a row, you'll notice in about a week-ish that you might have a couple pimples. but just keep putting on the gel and they'll go away. [if that happens for me and i have a bad pimple that i keep picking at, i will put the gel on just that spot after i wash my face before i put on my make up. it helps]

It may burn a little, but if it's burning a lot of giving you a bad rash, stop using it and talk to your doctor. Some people cannot use it as they are too sensitive to it. Also, very dry and over cleaned skin will burn more. So don't go scrubbing at your face and irritating the skin before using it.

It can burn a bit. You will know if it is working if your face begins to clear up. If it burns too bad don't use it. As with any acne cream that is not for sensitive skin it will burn when you first put it on but that should go away after 15 minutes. Good luck.

benzoyl peroxide is usually used for acne, and it does usually burn the skin at first, but within a few days to a week, the sensation will go away quicker and quicker with each time you put it on...its supposed to burn, dry, and then peel your skin, so the new, healthy clean cells can grow out...but use your judgement, if your ever worried or start itching or feel like something is wrong, go see your doctor...

No, not's not normal. Make sure you are not using anything else with an active ingredient in it on your face first. You may be allergic, or it may be just too high a concentration. Wash it off and maybe see a dermatologist if you have a reaction in the morning.

The bottle says if you feel irritation discontinue use. But it might just burn a little that means its working. But too much is bad.
