I don't know in your state when you are legally allowed to say who you want to live with. I say, make your wishes known to your dad. Maybe he can help you make the transition. It is worth it for you to be happy and safe during these years in your life.

You are old enough to testify in court that you want to live with your dad. First thing you should do is talk to your parents and see if you can work it out without going through a lawyer. Talk to your dad about what you want, and if necessary he can start proceedings with his lawyer. Since you are older just you saying you want to live with your dad should be enough providing he can support you and provide a stable environment.

Remember that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the hill. Both your mom and dad love you, but things may be tough with your mom because she may expect more from you. That doesn't mean she loves you any less than your dad does.

Talk to your school counsellor about this issue, he or she is trained to help you with issues like this and could help you come up with a plan to make your wishes known to your parents in a way that they will take you seriously and you will get a satisfactory outcome.
