Someone said this to me.
"we didn't stop being friends, we just stopped seeing each other as friends."

Every friendship has a purpose. Some of them just take longer to fulfill. Though the friendship may be coming to an end, the memories will live forever.

I love you not only for what you are,
but for what I am when I am with you.
I love you not only for what you have made of yourself,
but what you are making of me.
I love you because you have done more than any creed
could have done to make me good,
and more than any fate could have done to make me happy.
You have done it without a touch,
without a word,
without a sign.
You have done it by being yourself.
Perhaps that is what being a friend means, after all.
Roy Croft
‘Maybe, he thought, there aren’t any such things as good friends or bad friends- maybe there are just friends, people who stand by you when you’re hurt and help you feel not so lonely. Maybe they’re always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for. Maybe worth dying for, too, if that’s what has to be. No good friends, no bad friends. Only people you want, need to be with; people who build their houses in your heart.’
Stephen King “IT”
It is easier to forgive an enemy than a friend.

Sir Francis Bacon:
"We read that we ought to forgive our enemies; but we do not read that we ought to forgive our friends"
W. Somerset Maugham:
"It's no good trying to keep up old friendships. It's painful for both sides. The fact is, one grows out of people, and the only thing is to face it"

-You don't realize how much you love someone, until they are gone-
“I'm scared to get close to people. Whether they're friends or whatever. It seems that every time I get close to someone they always have to go away. Maybe it's to teach me how life goes on and how I shouldn't depend on people so much, or maybe I just trust the wrong people."
“Though I haven’t told you how much I care, how much you mean to me, it's not good to say that I don’t value you, if you only know how much I fear losing you then, you'll understand how much I care.”

"All good things come to an end..." from Nelly Furtado's song, "All Good Things (Come to an End)".
When my friendship was falling apart, I heard that song and cried.
Look up the lyrics.
Sorry about the whole breaking up friendship thing.

um I'm not sure if you want movie quotes or what. But here's the adult thing to do.
sit down with your "friend" and tell them your differences and WHY you don't want to be their friend anymore. try to do it in a respectful peaceful way so they don't come and haunt you the rest of your life and be mean to you forever.
Wanna make a friend? lol here go to my myspace!
