Its almost summer. I want to lose enough amount of wieght to do things I want. LIKE GO OUT IN PUBLIC WITHOUT FEELING LOOKED DOWN UPON!!! I've lost alot of wieght walking home from school everyday for 3 years. I used to be close to 300 pounds. Know how much I wiegh now? I wiegh 199 pounds. Either way, I still think Im fat even though I can fit into some of my clothes I couldn't in the 6th grade [Im in the 9th now...}. So yeah. Whats a really good Diet plan, exercise routines, and/or anything else that'll help me lose wieght. And bellydancing...that helps you get abs? I love to dance and I'd love to learn how to bellydance and with that, i could enhance abs.

ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

if you're looking to just lose some inches and tone up, use light weights, maybe jog, or sprint even. cut out sodas and "heavy" foods [lasagna, real big on meat meals]. 2 hours or so before you go to bed is when you should stop eating for the day. constantly snack on foods that are healthy [like fruits or triscuts]. if you eat a meal, snack until your next meal, meal, snack until your next meal, meal... its a lot healthier then having three HUGE meals throughout the day.

and also, because of the levels of caffiene in sodas, switch to teas [whites and greens are the best for you, full of antioxidents] so that you don't go through caffiene withdrawal [that SUCKS]. modify "diet" to your liking and voila!

First of all I commend you on all of the weight that you have already lost, that's a big accomplishment and you should be very proud of yourself! here are a few suggestions for further loss...
1. If you drink soda, stop! Water is the best thing when trying to lose weight. Drink it whenever you can, always carry a bottle with you. Try to drink a serving before each meal to make you eat less. Also green tea is also a great drink when you are dieting because it speeds your metabolism but no sugar... splenda if you must sweeten it.
2. Try jogging to and from school instead of walking. or start some kind of cardio routine, cardio is the key to burning calories and fat! Get at least 30 minutes a day.
3. Eat 5 small healthy meals per day instead of 3 larger ones, this keeps you metabolism in high gear.
4. If it comes in a fat free version, eat it! Eat high protein and grilled options like grilled chicken or fish, no fried food. Go easy on the carbs, have them in moderation and early in the day. If you order a grilled chicken sandwich, trash the bun! snack on fruits instead of sweets, you have to pretty much cut out the simple sugars. Be aware of your portions and how many calories you consume each day, keep a jounral if you need to.
5. Start lifting weights! For every pound of lean muscle mass you add to your frame your body will burn an additional 50 calories per day at rest so If you add 10 pounds of muscle you would burn an additional 500 calories per day!

GOOD LUCK!

start out easy and then work up to intense things.. try this::
First thing- don't change how much you eat (unless it is WAY WAY to much), start out by changing what you are eating. If it comes in a diet option, try it. If you are drinking 1% milk, try skim (or the next percentage down), avoid juice (liquid calories are way to easy to consume and hard to get rid of).

Second thing- Watch out for when you are eating these things, often times it is better to have smaller meals and snack throughout the day.

Third thing- NEVER EAT FAST FOOD. It is essentially a slow acting poison on your body and can lead to more health problems than you can think of.

Fourth thing- if you don't exercise, start out going for walks in the park or somehting, then bring it up to a light jog (once you are comfortable), then slowley bring up the intensity.

Fifth thing- Evaluate everything you put in your mouth, (i.e. avoiding higher fat meats like ribs, pork.. try fish instead or dear or chicken... then general meat rule is that the fewer legs it had as an animal, the better it is for you). Also, think about what goes into you ask yourself, "Should I be eating this?"

Sixth thing- You don't have to be doing all this 100% of the time, treat yourself, but recognize your priorities when it comes to it and don't let "treating yourself" get out of hand.

www.weightwatchers.com is the most successful plan out there. I've lost a lot of weight through them online before. Plus the online thing means you don't have to suffer the embarrassment of a public weigh-in, even though they don't show others your numbers.
