Souls are superstition. Nobody has a soul. They don't exist. Satan is a myth, too.

Wow. Hey, at least they showed the Madonna Britney kiss. I had to watch it a couple of times.
Glad i am an atheist, so I don't believe in the satan. But, I do love good music. I was just surprised not to see anything about KISS in there. Since everyone knows that it stands for Knights in Satan's Service.
I still laugh when I hear people say that.

I am a Christian, and I listen to Rock, Metal, Death Metal, Death Grind, Opera, Classical, Jazz- my soul has not been devoured by any means.
If you reject the music of the generation you are trying to reach, you just widen the cultural gap between you and them.
And, btw: what was your question?

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I would have to agree for the most part. And parents complained way back when rock was just a little too fast for them lol. It's all taken on quite a different twist these days, as have many other forms of entertainment. Just look at what's on network tv these days!
Don't believe me? Take about a month away from tv and music. Then turn it back on. You'll be shocked, because you don't notice how bad it is until you get away from it for awhile.
I confess that I like many different types of music. I like the sound of what used to be metal, but is now just "hard rock" compared to the new metal bands. But as a Christian I just can't listen to it anymore. The lyrics make me nauseous. It wasn't a conscious decision. Just one day I realized that what they were saying didn't appeal to me at all.

its a phase people go thru. shock value and nothing more. kinda weird how so much attention is drawn to this kinda stuff when we are killing for oil. i could make a video of government stuff that would make that video look like something from grade school. whats really happening is your taking the easy way out. putting the blame onto something else because your too scared to address the real issue. and you know what that issue is, dont you

Forwards or backwards, its bad. Ever heard of backmasking that effects the weakminded.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backmasking
Backmasking (also incorrectly known as backward masking) is an audio technique in which sounds are recorded backwards onto a track that is meant to be played forwards. Backmasking is a deliberate process, whereas a backward message may be unintentional. Backmasking has been a source of much controversy, especially related to supposed subliminal messages in rock music.

This comes a surprise to anyone?
If you go peering around every corner, looking for Satan, you will most assuredly find him.
Can't you find something better to do with your time, like feed the hungry or something?
