Trim package. Usually the Limited will be above the Laredo. They both are overall the same, when the Limited may have leather seats and power everything, the laredo may have cloth seats and only power windows and locks. There isn't much difference. Engine wise, they will be the same, same with transmission and differentials. I would personally go with the Laredo, because I'm not a fan of leather seats and power seats don't intrest me.

The limited edition has more standard options than does the Laredo. The limited comes with leather seats, and power seats. Other than the options available and standard there's no other difference in performance.

limiteds are loaded and probably will have a v8 while most base laredos will have a 6 cyl, so in that case there is alot of performance differences. there are also different 4x4 systems on the jeeps, some are better than others.
