I would be getting the top part of my mouth done, not the bottom so how much would that cost. I would be getting the old fashioned braces, not the newer kinds.

my orthodontist had said it was ok for me to just have my top teeth done. I did that and I got the retainer. For some reason, I think the retainer got bend, I know there were parts it was broken and my one tooth went back. So now I want to get them on again to correct that.

I have only my top teeth done. The only reason I got away with not getting my bottom teeth done is because I had a good bite, they were fairly straight anyway, they don't show when I talk or smile and because my teeth are very small on the bottom for the brackets. It's not all about whether you want them there or not. Almost all people have to get them on top and bottom, even if the bottom teeth are straight. Teeth at the bottom can be moved while top teeth are moving, it all depends on the bite. Sorry to say but you don't get the ultimate choice here, the orthodontist does. They know how teeth work best and you need to trust them. Mine cost me $4,200 (AU) only top and ceramic, would have cost me $300 less for metal. And $5,500 for top and bottom. PS. Mine come off next Monday! I'm so excited. They have been on for 16 months.

Well I had braces on both top and bottom, for 2 years. It cost about $5000 or more, so I would think half of that? And it also depends on how long you need them to I think.

I got my whole mouth done, and it cost about $4,000, so i'd say about $2,000. But it depends if you have dental insurance. I don't.
