why can you breathe better through your nose than mouth?

Generally if you have good strong nostrils it's easier to breath through ur nose because your body natuarally does so. Even babies will usually have thier mouth close and breath through their nose unless breathing is labored.

Because that is really the function of the nose. It warms, moistens and filters the air that enters before it goes down to the pharynx (our throat) and the rest of the upper & lower airways. If you breathe by mouth, air is not filtered.

At this point in time, I can't...lol...but other than that, I don't know, it dries out your mouth sometimes to breathe through your mouth and sometimes you can breathe in stuff with your mouth open.
