Why would keep in contact with a EX if you have someone new? If you have a new boyfriend. My Ex and I have been broken up for 10 months and have not spoken since. She got her number changed earlier in the year and call a week to see how I was doing. We broke up before and told her I couldnt be her friend cause I love to much. To talk to her as a friend and that's it I cant handle and she knows that but she's say's she just like to see how I'm doing every now and then. She's never kept in contact with her other boyfriends cause she said were she's though with a guy she's through with him why me. We were together for 3 and half years.

It's really unhealthy to keep in touch with someone you still love who you cant be with. So dont do it. Time heals all wounds. And she's probably just contacting you because she knows that ur still all about her and it helps her ego. You can't talk to people like that.

My Boyfriend And I Just Had A Discussion On The Ex Check Up Calls. Me And My Ex Talk Almost Every Week, But For Me It's Nothing. He Checks On His Ex's Every Once In A While. He Says That He Just Wants To See How They're Doing, Which I Can Understand. Apparently This Girl Cared For You, Three And A Half Years Is A Long Time, So I Can Understand Her Wondering How You Are. She Possibly Could Be Having Second Thoughts About The Relationship She Had With You And Truly Misses You, Or She Could Just Be Seeing If You're Okay. Which Isn't So Bad Is It? The Conversations Don't Have To Be Long, Just Tell Her How You're Doing And Then Tell Her You're Doing Something So You'll Have To Talk To Her Later. I Believe In Being Nice To My Ex's.

i dated a guy for a while and when we broke up i did the same thing. I know it's terrible but i couldn't help it. I was so used to sharing everything with him and I had that void. Even though i had a new guy i was so used to sharing things with him. He was my best friend. I got the idea after a while and stopped calling then about 6 months once he was ok and had someone new we started talking again and we are to this day good friends.

Maybe she still loves you. You can love someone, without being IN LOVE with somebody. For example, I love many people, but am currently in love with no one. She clearly still cares about you, and after being with you for so long, it doesn't surprise me. She probably still wants to be your friend, even if you'd rather not. The other thing is, she might feel guilty for hurting you so much, and just want to see how you're doing from time to time.

No idea but she could holding on to you as a confidante? Perhaps she is able to relate to you better that all the other boyfriends? Good luck.

maybe she really cares for you. or maybe she is just keeping you around in case she cant find anyone better. if it is hurting you to much to stay in contact. then cut her out. no matter how much you love her, you shouldnt allow yourself to be hurt.

She wants to have some connection with you even though you've moved on.

I would not encourage her because she also needs to move on.

She obviously still cares
but be warned,
No good can come from this friendship
until you've both moved on!

I would break all contact with her. I think she is keeping you in reserve.
