Pictures of X's??

Question

My girlfriend gets really upset because I have pictures of my X's on my computer, most of the pics are from long ago and some are fairly recent, i have assured her that she is the only one I love. I dont show her the pics and I never talk about them but I dont feel that I should have to delete my pics from my past just to let her know i only care about her.

A ladies prespective would be helpful here...

What is your purpose in keeping the pictures?

My first thought is how does she know that you have pictures of your Xs on your computer if you don't mention them or show her? Perhaps it is the context in which you are keeping them that bothers her. Is the picture your screensaver? Do you have pictures of all you Xs on your myspace page? Has she seen you looking at them? I understand that you have the right to retain those memories. But obviously she feels threatened by their presence. If you have a lot of Xs and a lot of pictures of these Xs, she may think that you see her as just "the woman of the moment" and that she's easily replaceable. Or perhaps she may feels you are comparing her to these Xs...Consider keeping them somewhere more private and less accessible, perhaps with a password guard!

I agree with you. You shouldnt have to erase the pics from your past. But why wouldnt you want to? You should think about that. In the mean time just talk to your girlfriend and try to make her feel secure so she dosent have to wonder if you really care for her only.

via the way that your posing in the image's, it style of sounds like your thrilled with the way you seem besides, and that's the main needed element. as long as you're thrilled with the way you seem, then it is not significant what every person else thinks. Your nonetheless at a youthful age, so in case you think of your too skinny then you certainly ought to bear in concepts that your nonetheless starting to be... once you hit mid young human beings, your be thinking that your too huge! all of it comes with age lol...

i understand how she feels, but i think that having the pictures is not a big deal, because it is a part of your past. as long as you don't look at them regularly.. and they just basically sit there in your computer, there's nothing wrong with it.

my boyfriend has never asked me to delete/get rid of old pictures, but i respect him enough to never let him see them because it is uncomfortble. find a middle ground. tell her you won't delete them but you will put them somewhere out of sight and out of mind

If you were my boyfriend I would be upset too. Your girl wants to be the only one in your life and the only one you love. She doesn't want your pics of your X's around rubbing it in that you loved someone else at one time. Get rid of them if you truly love her.

Here you are one day playing with her computer and all of a sudden you come across some pictures of this guy .Honey who is that picture of on your computer oh that is just my ex that's all .You have nothing to worry about I only love you .
Does it bother you that she has pictures of her ex bet it does.

try to forget ur X. its good for u and ur recent girlfriend too. if ur recent girl friend is the only person u love then why r u not ready to delete ur Xs pictures? if u don't understand ur gf, she deserves a better person.

get rid of the pictures, but since your still keeping it, ask yourself what force made you kept those pics up to now,,,, are you still living from your past even though you have someone in the present...

she might think you still have feeling for your ex. The way she sees it is that you have her why do you have pictures of the ex around. Just let her know that you love her and that you are dating HER and not your ex.
